ViewSonic VX1940w
All characteristics are quite typical for modern monitors – fast TN matrix, dynamic contrast. Well but the resolution… This ain’t no mistake it is really 1680õ1050 just like of 20-inch monitors. As consequence the VX1940w has extremely fine grain. Some folks may dislike this (e.g. gamers since more powerful video card is required), but in our opinion the extended selection between large-grain classical 19-inch monitors and medium-grain 1440×900 widescreen models with a small-grain model should only be welcomed. Latest drivers and software for ViewSonic displays.

By the way the manufacturer states that viewing angles are measured in accordance with 10:1 method of contract reduction. This is quite possible: the screen still gets darker if looked at from below but the viewing angles are much better than those of many TN matrices.
The monitor’s exterior is something extraordinary and the device looks just like average 19’’ widescreen panel. Black cabinet with rather thin bezel is nicely ‘welted’ with light-coloured plastic strip in the middle of which control buttons are located. In general the monitor will fit both home and office environment.
